Recently, Go Pro Wildlife Removal serviced The River at Club Blanton located in Valley, Alabama. In the 1920s, the venue served as a dance hall for locals and those in surrounding areas such as Columbus and Fort Moore. Now, the venue acts as a beautiful wedding and celebration space with stunning views overlooking the Chattahoochee River.

After owners discovered squirrels in one of the venue’s buildings, they contacted the professionals at Go Pro Wildlife Removal to come out, investigate and remove the squirrels.

The Problem: Squirrel Infestation

The owners and guests of the wedding venue heard scratching and clawing inside the walls of one of the buildings – evidence of squirrel habitation which is common during this time of year. During the winter months, squirrels search for warm, dry places of shelter away from predators and in the spring, they become more active. In this case, our team discovered the Eastern Grey Squirrel within the walls of their event space that needed to be properly removed.

There are a few ways to know if you are experiencing a squirrel infestation. Chewed wires, sounds of scurrying or scratching, or even distinct smells will inform you of their unwanted presence. For these owners, the squirrels audibly made their presence known. You can read more about the dangers of squirrels in your home or business on our blog.

Professional Wildlife Exclusion: The Process

Shane, a Wildlife Technician at Go Pro Wildlife Removal, arrived on site to remove the squirrels and provide a solution to prevent their return. The event space buildings were covered with a tin roof, which consumers typically believe are wildlife deterrents, however, these roofs are more susceptible to wildlife invasion. Due to the adaptable nature of squirrels, it is important to not only remove the squirrels but also implement long-lasting solutions. Go Pro Wildlife Removal uses ridge guard protection for the exclusion of bats, squirrels, birds and other critters. Furthermore, Go Pro takes it one step further by also installing custom metal corrugation cutouts to prevent squirrel reentry. Both exclusion solutions are neat and undetectable solutions for your home or business and Go Pro Wildlife Removal worked with the owners to match the paint of the venue.

Go With the Pros

Just in time for wedding season, the Go Pro Wildlife professionals identified the squirrels’ entry points, implemented the removal processes and secured the space to prevent squirrel re-entry of the wedding venue. The owners appreciated their experience with the Go Pro Team and will continue to rely on them for their removal and exclusion needs in the future. Watch our recent
